On June 12, 2014 more than 30 Austrian students met a group of 18 survivors and perpetrators from the Kibuye district. They are part of the „Healing and Rebuilding our Communities“-program, which was initiated to support communities affected by the genocide.


Theoneste Bizimana and Jean Hubert Hirwa (whom you can see at the end) helped to organize the meeting. This clip shows the impressive interaction of a survivor with a perpetrator who took part in the killing of her family.
