On June 12, 2014 more than 30 Austrian students met a group of 18 survivors and perpetrators from the Kibuye district. They are part of the „Healing and Rebuilding our Communities“-program, which was initiated to support communities affected by the genocide.


Ruanda/Rwanda 2014: Theoneste Bizimana and Jean Hubert Hirwa (whom you can see at the end) helped to organize the meeting. This clip shows the impressive interaction of a survivor with a perpetrator who took part in the killing of her family.
